Aitken Spence Hotels to launch first ‘Heritance’ property, Heritance Aarah in Maldives this December

Aitken Spence Hotels, a subsidiary of Sri Lankan blue-chip company Aitken Spence is set to launch its first ‘Heritance’ property overseas, with the introduction of Heritance Aarah, in winter 2018. The property, nestled on an island in Raa Atoll, 40 minutes from the Male international airport will embrace the brand promise of the ‘Heritance’ chain of hotels, ‘where tradition is alive.’ With five successful Heritance Hotels and Resorts in Sri Lanka, each boasting of inimitable stories of culture merging with hospitality and comfort, the move to open this latest resort comes with the expansion plans of Aitken Spence Hotels. Well established in the Maldives with the Adaaran hotel chain which includes the stunning Adaaran Prestige Vadoo, Adaaran Select Meedhupparu, Adaaran Club Rannalhi and Adaaran Select Hudhuranfushi, the latest addition will be different and distinctive from the ‘Adaaran’ brand and introduce its beloved sister brand ‘Heritance’, bringing to Maldives a unique proposition of quintessentially traditional, curated experiences delicately woven into star-classed luxury. As with the properties in Sri Lanka which are strategically designed in exciting locations, the island of Aarah, on which the resort is located, is home to a large lagoon and reef, welcoming guests to a tropical tapestry of the Maldives perpetual paradise. Operating as an all-inclusive resort, Heritance Aarah will open its doors to 26 intimate luxury duplex ocean suites, 56 sunset ocean villas and 68 land villas ranging from beach villas to pool beach villas, family beach villas and family pool beach villas. Designed to inspire and customised to immerse guests in the sights and sounds of the Maldives, accommodation is illustrated with earthly hues and vibrant blues. With nine outlets for guests to enjoy delicious cuisine and spirited concoctions, the cuisine culture unfolded at the resort is intended to promote gastronomic specialties from around the world. The six dining outlets includes flavours from hawker stalls to western farmers’ market, from France and Italy to the Middle East, Sri Lanka, Delhi, Istanbul, Mexico and Tokyo. The three bars include an exclusive space for Ocean Suite guests, poolside bar and an open-air rooftop venue. With variety being the spice of life, the resort will host a dive and water sports centre, a range of excursions and adventures, a kids club, daily activities and a spa with six treatment rooms set over the lagoon with views of the eastern coast of the island. Heritance Aarah, with its opening, will establish a differentiated Maldivian experience. For more details, visit -
