Press Release: White Pearl Resorts Embarks on Extensive Renovations

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Ponta Mamoli/Johannesburg, August ‘24. White Pearl Resorts has initiated a significant renovation project aimed at restoring the resort to its renowned glory and international acclaim. The comprehensive renovation, which began in July 2024, is part of a broader effort to revive, renew, and revitalize the resort, affectionately known as the Pearl of the Indian Ocean.

While the resort continues to receive outstanding reviews for its culinary excellence and exceptional service, the upgrades which were much needed throughout the resort will significantly upgrade the quality of the resort to continue offering an unmatched experience to its distinguished guests.

“Our priority has always been to provide a uniquely luxurious and outstanding experience in one of the most exquisite coastal locations”, said Florival Mucave, Chairman of White Pearl Resorts. “This renovation is about preserving the essence of White Pearl Resorts while elevating it to new heights of excellence. We are committed to ensuring that our guests continue to experience the high standards and exclusivity they have come to expect”.

The renovation is being carried out with meticulous attention to minimizing any disturbance to guests. The project has been strategically planned to coincide with periods of low occupancy, ensuring that the resort’s operations remain as seamless as possible. By October 2024, 36 % of work is expected to be completed. As the high season approaches, the project will temporarily pause, resuming mid-January 2025. The renovations are projected to reach 75% completion by Easter 2025, with full completion anticipated by August 2025.

To date, the renovation of five of the resort’s luxurious suites is currently fully underway. Upgrades include private pools, roof and ceilings, aluminium sliding doors, cupboards, curtains, and linens. The outdoor areas of the suites have also been enhanced, with the renovation of private pools and the replacement of pool loungers. The next phase of the project will focus on the replacement of the wooden decking at the main entrance and walkways, changing the previously used pine wood to hard-wearing simbiri wood. This phase will be executed with precision to maintain accessibility whilst respecting the resort’s ongoing operations.
